Traits

While all Chowlings have hidden gills on their necks, Sirens have an exclusive trait where their gills are exposed and can be used to breathe underwater for long periods of time.

Siren gills Attributes

• Sirens have two gill slits on each side of their necks.
• The gills must be drawn visible and cannot be hidden for a Siren design to be valid.
• Lore related Siren Gills allow Sirens to be underwater up to 12 hours at a time.
• Lore related Sirens Gills work best if kept a little moist, but can work just fine when completely dry too.

Sirens are well adapted to water, and this shows in their limbs. They have clawed Webbed Feet that help them navigate through the water, similiar to webbed crocodilian feet.

• Sirens have claws rather than paws, but they are not super sharp like Fighter or Monster Claws.
• Stylisation of these claws are up to the user, as long as it still visually represents the trait.
• Sirens may have only both front paws webbed, only both back paws webbed, or all four webbed feet. They cannot be mismatched, ie. one back one front. 
• Lore related Siren Webbed Feet can be a little clumsy on land if they are used to spending a lot of their time in aquatic environments.
• Lore related Sirens are the best swimmers of any Lineage due to these unique feet.

The Fins trait allows your Chowling to grow a variety of sea-creature parts from their body!

HOW TO APPLY THIS TRAIT

• Covers the Chowling with aquatic parts, this is applied to the body or head. Tails do not apply.
• Different types of fins that can be applied include: shark fins, fish fins, cerata, and nudibranch-like growths.
• Fins may be combined with the Ears trait to create Fin-like ears!

WHERE DO I OBTAIN THIS TRAIT?

Purchase a Candy Fish from Chowling Cafe.

This allows Chowlings to have physical real scales of any variety, and can cover any parts of the body. 

HOW TO APPLY THIS TRAIT

• These are textured, real scales rather than the fur markings that many Chowlings have.
• Scales can take on a variety of shapes and textures. They may be hard and reptillian or soft like a fish.
• Scales may be present on any part of the body. It may cover just the limbs, bridge of the nose, or cover the whole body.
  • Scales may be present over fur, but need to be properly lined and given diamension , not a flat paint over, for the traid to be applied.

Chowlings of the water-aligned Siren Lineage gain access to the unique Siren Form, where the Chowling's lower body shifts into the form of an aquatic animal part.

Siren Form attributes

• Siren Forms start from the Chowling's waist, akin to mythological Mermaids.
• Lower bodies may take the form of a variety aquatic creatures depending on the Siren, including but not limited to, types of fish, octopi, squid, sharks, whales, and sea snakes to give them a more Naga-like appearance.
• Crocodilans are a valid aquatic form for the lower body to take, however it wouldn't come with the legs, and would look more like a snake.
